Well, the dam has broke. Apparently the Swedish Princess is a huge thing in Scandinavia and so is Henrik. News of them running around New York together has taken over the news in Sweden and Finland.
AFtonbladeet a Swedish newspaper, has an article that after the wedding was cancelled Princess Madeleine is going off to New York for her charity but speculate it may be for some comfort from Henrik. The newspaper actually contacted Henrik about this!

The Princess and Henrik have known each other for years and were introduced by mutual friends. According to the bad translation Henrik has "supported" her when she's been in New York before. She camped out in the spare bedroom? She cried on his shoulder? He carried her shopping bags? What does supported mean?!
Henrik was asked if he'll be hanging out with Princess Madeleine in New York when she visits next week, but Henrik said probably not as it all depends on the World Cup. Where do these newspapers get a direct line to Henrik? I want one! I have journalistic questions too. Very important ones. Like what that tattoo on his back means.

Sweden wasn't the only place to eat up the news about Princess Madeleine and Henrik. Finland is going nuts over it too. MTV3 in Finland has an article about them as well. Does their MTV actually play music videos instead of stupid reality shows? I miss it when MTV actually played music videos. MTV3 has another page dedicated to photos of Henrik and Madeleine together along with more speculation. And will you look at that, they even referenced this blog! Of course they didn't link to it, but still. There's also an article on Voice in Finland.

Oh dear, this could get ugly. But I know if Scandinavian media is anything like American media, they'll take any little shred of anything and RUN with it. I hope no one gets hurt out of this whole thing. Please be honorable, whatever you do, Henrik. And let's hope everything dies down soon. I wish he was still in the playoffs so we could concentrate on that instead of these yucky things.
Madeleine is not only huge in Scandinavia. She is well known all over Europe and by royal followers arround the world.
Her wedding was not canceled, it was confirmed by Queen Silvia ( her mother) in an interview that it will not take place this year.
Also her sister is marrying in June and two royal weddings in the same year would not be a good idea.
Wow. I had no idea she was so big! Why is it that international news rarely penetrates the US? I feel so out of it just reading US news.
Hopefully all of our silly "news" doesn't penetrate Europe. Like the Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Brittany Spears crap...I'd like for that silly stuff to stay inside our borders...how embarassing they are.
I just don't want Henrik's parents to be embarrassed by any of this gossip back home. I don't want Henrik to be the "Camilla Parker Bowles" of Sweden...

Lol, you're hilarious. But I don't think any of this is real. But if it were, hopefully Jonas and Mad have broken up and just hasn't officially given the cancellation of the wedding.

I hope it's not real. I wouldn't want to think that of a royal or of Hank. Even though his nickname Hank is part of Hanky Panky. I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

Madeleine is beautiful. I can't believe anyone would cheat on her. Especially since she's royalty!

The young woman sold her story to a norwegian magazine. She claims that she met Jonas outside a bar and they went to spend the night at her hotel. Only later she realised he was Madeleine's fiance.

Thank goodness it wasn't about Henrik. Whew. I'm sorry there was infidelity involved at all. But if we've learned nothing from celebrities, it doesn't matter how beautiful the woman is, men will still cheat. They are dogs, period. ;o) Wasn't it Christie Brinkley's husband who cheated, and look at her! They always want what they don't have.
You think Madeleine is beautiful? :p I don't like that overly tanned, bleach blonde look. She looks fake. But I certainly didn't want her to be cheated on. I just didn't want her with Hank. ;o)

Well Madeleine has to keep up appearances being in the upper crust and for her that involves the nails, hair, tan, etc.
Christine: yes, Åre is where Henrik was born. There are 1000 people living there but it is a very popular ski resort. One can actualy go downhill there not just practice nordic ski.

The story of Madeleine's break-up hit MSN today. They only mentioned the possible infidelity by her fiance, nothing about Henrik. Whew.
Aftonbladet had an interview with Henrik recently. Aparently he was asked if he was with Madeleine and he said no.
I didnt read the interview itself just the teaser as one had to pay to see it online.
