Henrik Lundqvist is a Vezina Trophy Contender

According to The Hockey News blog, our guy Henrik is the #3 pick for the Vezina Trophy.

Henrik Lundqvist - Rangers are middle-of-the-pack in shots against and have endured a number of injuries to key defensive players this season. The reason why? The NHL’s shutout leader (tied with Thomas and Vokoun), of course.

Henrik is behind Tim Thomas and Carey Price. I think Henrik will move on up as the season continues.

In other news, with the trade today of Rozsival, Henrik is the lone NY Ranger still around after the lockout.

In other, other news, the NY Rangers play the Habs tomorrow and Henrik looks to be in the net against Alex Auld the backup goalie for the NY Rangers last season.
